Checkpoint and Nordic ID - Fashionable RFID

Press Release / February 22nd, 2011

Checkpoint teams up with Nordic ID to spread the benefits of RFID technology in fashion retail.

Checkpoint offers apparel retailers and department stores a complete out-of-the-box solution to gain visibility in closed-loops. The solution is based on RFID technology and enables retailers to track inventory on item level in the back room and on the sales floor. The goal is to improve inventory accuracy, reduce out-of-stocks, improve replenishment, increase store efficiency and increase sales.

Nordic ID RFID and Checkpoint have signed an agreement on cooperation to use Nordic ID RFID products as a part of Checkpoint’s solutions. “Nordic ID RFID mobile computers help to perform the tasks in retail and supply chain quickly and easily due to their ergonomic design, standard operating platform and modular approach to communications.”, says Steve Howells, Senior Director, Merchandise Visibility at Checkpoint Systems.

Nordic ID currently offers the largest RFID product portfolio, the Nordic ID Merlin UHF RFID, the Merlin UHF RFID Cross Dipole and the Nordic ID Morphic UHF RFID, to serve the rapidly growing needs of item level RFID especially in the apparel industry.
